I’ve always had two passions in life, people and the environment. I am passionate about what I do and work hard on things I care about – that’s why I love being a celebrant. It is a privilege to be part of so many life events and being able to get to know so many people.
When not being a marriage celebrant I am fortunate that my day job protecting and preserving the marine ecosystems of the Antarctic region contributes to such an important environmental cause. Without a doubt I have the best of both worlds!
My home is Wellington where I live on the beautiful south coast in Island Bay. I am a proud mother, chauffeur, & ‘personal assistant’ to my gorgeous, and sassy eleven year old daughter, and wife to one amazing man. We were married in 2006 and I can still remember the excitement and jubilation only a wedding day provides.
For me, a wedding ceremony should be personalised, heartfelt and genuine. A time in your life where you take a deep breath, look at each other, have a cheeky smile and say “we are about to get married!”
I aim to bring a lot of fun and laughter to our journey together and will approach your wedding day with the same amount of energy and enthusiasm that you have. My style is relaxed and professional. But I appreciate the occasion, and always ensure what defines you as a couple shines through the formalities.
Being open minded and flexible, I support marriage equality. I’m proud to live in a country where you can choose who you want to form a family with.
